Interface
The deepest part of my practice: responsive systems, precise behavior, accessibility, motion, and production detail.
I’m Griffin Foster—a creative developer with a frontend engineering core and enough range across product design, UX, mobile, and full-stack systems to stay with an idea from ambiguity through production.
I do my best work when an interface is difficult for a reason: the workflow is dense, the audience is specific, or the details have real operational consequences. That is where product thinking and frontend craft become the same job.
Sometimes that means shaping internal products around the way a team actually works. Sometimes it means translating a physical brand into a digital experience. In either case, I want to understand the system, make the important parts clear, and build the result with care.
Understand the user need, business constraint, and technical reality.
Problem · Priority · ScopeTurn that context into flows, hierarchy, behavior, and useful states.
Flow · Interface · FeedbackCarry the decisions into responsive, accessible production code.
System · Implementation · QAThe deepest part of my practice: responsive systems, precise behavior, accessibility, motion, and production detail.
Turning real workflows and competing requirements into structure that makes sense to the people using it.
Enough breadth beneath and beyond the browser to keep decisions connected all the way through a working product.
The best decisions usually appear when the people, constraints, and implementation remain in the same conversation.
Complexity does not need to disappear. It needs hierarchy, feedback, and a path people can understand.
I care about the distance between a promising idea and the version that actually has to work in production.
Good collaboration is candid, conversational, and specific enough that everyone can make the next decision.
Build the plan, understand the conditions, and make the important decisions early.
Pay attention to what is actually happening—not only what was expected to happen.
Use direct feedback to change the approach without losing sight of the objective.
Alongside product work, I work with a professional tennis player across management, coaching, and practice. Being close to elite sport has sharpened how I think about preparation, honest feedback, adaptability, and work that still has to hold up when the conditions are not ideal.
It is a different arena, but the habit is familiar: understand what matters, communicate clearly, and keep refining the details that change the outcome.
Product interfaces, ambitious websites, design-led frontend builds, and digital systems that need both clarity and character.
Frontend or creative-development roles where product judgment, design sensitivity, and production ownership belong close together.
