Process artifact / Brand system

One hue.
A complete system.

A living record of how the Made by Griffin palette was shaped: four monochromatic territories, tested from near-black ink to pale supporting surfaces. Burnished Oxide is the selected foundation; the alternatives remain here to make the decision visible.

Territory 01 Selected brand foundation

Burnished Oxide

A more chromatic refinement of the oxide direction you preferred. It has presence and personality, but its depth keeps it sophisticated rather than loud.

Psychology
Oxide red-browns can suggest confidence, warmth, craft, and individuality. The mineral quality makes the color feel enduring rather than urgent.
Watch for
Terracotta can drift toward hospitality or interiors. Sharp typography, black structure, and technical imagery are essential counterweights.

Five roles.
One hierarchy.

Canvas and ink do most of the work. Brand color creates recognition. Signal color appears only where attention is earned.

Selected foundation

Burnished Oxide.

Natural and grounded, but with enough color to be memorable. It holds a useful tension: warm and crafted on one side, sharp and technical on the other.
